Kelly Services is proud to partner with the National Academy Foundation (NAF) to help high school students in urban and low-income areas around the country. The NAF partnership enables Kelly to continue its outreach efforts and creates important benefits for NAF, for its students, and for our customers.

Who is NAF?
NAF brings college-preparatory, career-themed academies in Engineering, IT, Hospitality & Tourism, and Finance to public high schools in urban centers around the country. NAF uses an innovative educational model of "small learning communities" in public schools to empower high school students to raise academic performance and become active citizens successfully pursuing higher education and professions of their choosing. For more than two decades, NAF has successfully prepared students for post-secondary education and careers, and elevated the performance standards and expectations of students in urban areas.

Academy of Engineering Grant Program
The hallmark of the Kelly Services/NAF partnership is the Kelly Services Academy of Engineering Grant Program. In our efforts to address the acute shortage of engineering talent to America’s employers, Kelly Engineering Resources sponsors a grant program for NAF’s Academies of Engineering. This grant money can be used by NAF Academy of Engineering educators to pursue new ideas, create innovative programs, and/or fund special events to benefit the Academy of Engineering students and faculty.

NAF Advisory Board Participation
The Kelly Services/NAF partnership also includes Kelly’s participation in local NAF Advisory Boards. Through this participation, local Kelly Engineering Resources contacts are assigned to the local NAF Advisory Board in their area. The board members meet regularly to promote the academy by participating in or coordinating classroom activities, mentoring, job shadowing, internship opportunities, scholarships, field trips and overall academy advocacy.
